Sometimes, I Play the Piano Really, Really Fast... 🔗

In order to be good at something, you must practice, practice, practice.

However, practicing something can be tedious.

I practice jamming on the piano, and have found I can cut practice time in half by practicing twice as quickly, thus getting better twice as quickly. (*) With sophisticated carbon dating techniques, scientists have determined that this is foolproof. If you wish to get better four times as quickly, simply practice four times as quickly. You'll do it in a fourth the time. You can thank me later, with all that extra time!

(*) Note: This is not strictly true. There is no evidence that my skill level has ever improved.

In the following video clip, you can see me jamming on the piano really, really fast.

OK, so I sped up the video. It's running at 2x the normal speed, Chipmunks style. It's still a fast song and my fingers usually begin to cramp up before it's over. Honestly, I don't know how Billy Joel does an entire concert.
